Information Manual (S15)
INFORMATION AVAILABLE
As set out in the introduction to this manual, the Ombudsman already makes a range of information available to the public in relation to his Office. This will continue to be available informally without the need to use the FOI Act. This information may be obtained by contacting the Head of Administration, Office of the Ombudsman or through the other outlets set out in the introduction. Arising from the provisions of the FOI Act, the Office is now publishing a range of documents relating to working arrangements, both internally and in relation to the bodies within the Ombudsman's jurisdiction. This includes:
- staff manual on handling complaints;
- other internal staff guidelines (e.g. code of practice for reception staff);
- liaison arrangements with the bodies within jurisdiction.
Details of how to request records under the FOI Act are set out below.
